Starts tonight. Last season's finale had Michael and some of the others in a world of hurt. Now it's Linc's turn to be the savior.
They did pretty much clear his name last season right? Between the whole Madam President going down and the agent guy testifying? I can't remember now.

Yeh, it's gonna be interesting to see how it all plays out for this season. Thankfully the series name makes sense again.

Nice season opener. They tied up the whole "so what happens to Lincoln now" thing pretty quickly so they could focus on Michael and the other guys in the Panamanian prison. I also like how they've twisted the plot to keep Michael in there and provide yet another tie-in to the show's title.
Oh, and Bellick, THAT'S NOT CHICKEN!!!

There aren't enough sharks to gather to describe the jumps made by the show last year. Oy.

Yeah. It really sucked last year.
Also the chick that played the hot doctor got knocked up and won't be returning. So I wouldn't plan on seeing Sara alive anytime soon.

Couldn't agree more. This opener didn't seem much better. It was beyond silly. I miss the first season action. Maybe this season will end up being more like that since they're back in prison? Let's hope so...

I guess I'm the only person who dug most of last year's plotline. I still wish T-bag would fucking bite it. I'm really sick of both him and Bellick. They need to find someone else to move the plot along and serve as villains, because I'm just sick and tired of those two.

T-bag has lost both of his hands now right? What's he gonna do, kick, kick, kick people to death?

He still has one hand. It would be great if the guy was totally gimped though, at least then there wouldn't be ANY plausible way for him to get the upper hand on anyone ever again.

He lost one hand early in the series, then Michael jabbed a knife straight into his wrist while T-bag was pinned down. The finale didn't clearly show that he lost that hand as well, but Michael's intention was obviously to make sure that he wouldn't ever kill anyone again without actually killing T-bag himself.
But I agree with you, it's ridiculous how he keeps managing to kill people, even people bigger than himself with only one hand. It's funny though when Lincoln grabs him by the scruff of his neck and he just cringes.

This show was a guilty pleasure in season 1. Season 2 was something we watched more out of habit than enjoyment. Now it's just plain stupid. Delete Season Pass.

Really, the last shark for me was that somehow after all of the crap involved in framing Lincoln for the murder such that he'd get the death penalty, and all of the work done to try to carry that out, late in Season 2 it suddenly becomes the goal to get Michael into SONA? WTFever, dude.
I also wish they'd have dropped some storylines faster during Season 2. Working too hard to keep the secondary lines going just made them ludicrously stupid.

One episode was enough to tell me Prison Break is never going back to the greatness of Season 1. Deleted.

I've always gotten enjoyment out of the show and S3 looks no different. It's got a very campy comic book flavor. Sure, a lot of it may be painfully contrived but it still better then the last few seasons of 24. :P

Why not stop watching both (if you watch 24...) and watch something way better? Some shows you could check out if you've never seen them are The Wire, Twin Peaks, Weeds, Extras or Dexter. All fantastic shows. All worth watching. There are so many better things you could be watching that aren't "painfully contrived".

All of the shows you listed are great and I have either seen or have them on my netflix queue but sometimes you want a more action oriented show.
Sometimes you work hard, want to come home and turn the brain off for 47 mins.

I somehow manage to forgive Prison Break for its ridiculousness. Its thoroughly enjoyable dumb.

Well, I guess that explains it. It's still weak to go killing her off like that. Now I want Michael to find out and just stop being so nice to everyone and start using all his clever plans to get the people who keep on messing with him killed. Seriously, I am getting pretty sick of him figuring out ways to get what he wants while not hurting anyone else's feelings.
I'm wondering what their plans are for when this season is done. Are they constantly gonna have one of the brothers ending up in prison over and over again because of some "corperation"? The plot is just getting stupid and they need to just start fresh with a new cast, a new prison, and a new reason for a breakout. Maybe even dabble into the dark "yeah my brother/friend/etc is guilty of the crime but i don't want him to die" storyline, though I can see that coming under fire.

It's looking more and more like they are setting up for a change in plotlines that moves away from Prison scenarios and more toward the "revenge on the company" thing, which they could string out for half of this season and all of next. I think Michael, Linc and Whistler will work something out to where they end up with thatever it is the company wants and they take down the company with it.
Every time link meets with that annoying company woman I keep expecting him to just reach out and snap her neck. There is also no way Michael will be taking Tea Bag or the big boss dude with him on any escape, unless they get killed during it.
The show is just interesting enough still to keep me recording it.

What happened? The website says no new episodes until January, but the TV guides keep listing new ones. Is Prison Break an early victim of the writer's strike? Was there a new episode on last week (Monday before Thanksgiving)? If so it's not posted online.

I think it was a victim of the strike. The last new episode was two weeks ago and it was (only at the last minute) advertised as the "fall finale". There are still new episodes left to air, but Fox is holding them until January, presumably to fill gaps in the schedule.

So am I the only one still watching this? I think I missed an episode or something, because I thought last night (1/21) was the return of the series from hiatus, yet it seems to have skipped an episode from where it ended last fall. Maybe I missed it, but how the hell does life in the prison just keep on trucking after an escape attempt by armed helicopters that resulted in the injury or death of at least a dozen guards? Even in Panama they'd have turned that place upside down and shipped anyone suspected of being involved off to another prison.
Also, I just realized last night that "Susan B. Anthony" is played by Jodi Lynn O'Keefe. What the hell happend to her?! She used to be so hot in that cute girl-next-door way on Nash Bridges a few years back, but she's totally trashed now. She looks like she just got out of drug rehab or something.

Well, last week's episode was utter shite, but this week was almost a return to form. This show is like a train wreck, and I feel compelled to keep watching it. Maybe it'll get better now that they're out of prison again?

This episode played out too conventionally. Everything except Mahone joining the Company was foreshadowed and expected. Still, it was okay, and it's a nice setup for next season with Michael going on the offensive. Loved the shot with the gun sitting next to the paper rose.
This is such a terrible show. I can't wait for Season 4.

Exactly! It's a total guilty pleasure.
It all went down a little too easy for the brothers in this episode. Waltzing around out in the open when they are wanted Prison escapees? Doesn't Panama have television? Still, they've managed to set up both the Michael revenge plotline, the Whistler and The Company plotline and STILL have a few characters actually in prison as well. Poor Sucre, first thing I'd do if I was him would be snap Teabag's neck like a twig.

But he won't, because Teabag will tell him about the book and they'll be a team or some bullshit.
I'm so glad the strike is over so I can stop watching this show. Please, anything, save me from Prison Break.
