I know E3 begins like the 11th but sometimes all the annoucements appear before the events begin. Any ideas if that will happen this year?

As far as I know, the Microsoft press conference the evening of the 10th is the first event. Nintendo and Sony are the following morning.

Sony is apparently covering the Sony part of E3 on the PSN (http://www.gamesindustry.biz/content_page.php?aid=26489) though I have yet to see an announcement on the PlayStation blog.

Midway's David Zucker (http://www.gamespot.com/news/6173807.html) says the industry has "outgrown" the need for a real E3. That's a curious statement since other big and established industries still have their big publicity shows.

In other news, Midway will show new versions of Stranglehold and Blacksite: Area 51 at E3.

Personally what I hope to see come out of E3 the most is some actual combat footage of Storm of War:BoB and Knights of the Sky. They're both slated for release q3/4 of this year and screens of the engines look great, but so far I've seen nothing get riddled with bullets and explode. Of course these games will get the back alley booths next to the fire escape.
