Does anyone have any experience with any place on the net that lets you rent and watch movies online? There are a few movies I want to watch but buying and renting a DVD isn't optimal. For example, The Bridge, a documentry about suicide. Amazon has it for sale for $14.99 but since I want to see it once, that seems rather costly.

Much experience. I would say the best is Movielink.com. Cinemanow isn't bad but unlike Movielink, they seem to never run "specials". At Movielink, Monday through Thursday, there's a "surprise" $0.99 movie you can always check out. And there's always a 50% off category that sometimes has great deals. And typically toward the end of the month, they offer all movies for $1.99.

Also, do you belong to Netlfix? If so, you can watch movies on demand now.

Amazon's service - initially- sucked. I hear the bugs have been worked out though, so it may be worth trying as well
