The new expansion for Civ3 is apparently a collection of preset scenarios with a pittance of minor enhancements (new civs and resources etc.), as detailed on the official website (http://www.civ3.com/conq_features.cfm). I guess I'd buy it anyway if I was still playing the game but there doesn't seem to be anything to rekindle my interest, so I don't.
And much to my surprise, Celestial Heavens (http://dynamic3.gamespy.com/~homm/) is reporting that Heroes of Might and Magic V is still on track for a Spring 2004 release. They have a couple of MP3 interview clips with Jon van Caneghem but he's not telling much. I still don't know how they expect to develop a full-blown sequel with whatever team is left after the announced layoffs, seeing how they barely got HoMM4 working with a bigger team.
