Shouldn't the Robs and Roberts and Bobs be linked to one name? I think we'd have a better showing then. Plus, you'd have to get VegasRobb in there, and a few other Roberts that don't use their real names in their handles.
Albert Woo

and a few other Roberts that don't use their real names in their handles. That's true for the other handles too, but trying to include real names would require, like, actual work. : )

Hey if Bob/Rob/Robert get to team up, surely the Ryans and Bryans should join forces.
As a Ryan myself, I can't agree with that one. Bob and Rob are at least nicknames of Robert or derivations thereof. Ryan/Bryan/Brian share a common root name centuries ago, but nobody named Bryan goes by Ryan as a nickname. That's just crazy talk.

The number of members in the AAA is under-represented since (unlike the other groups) I'm only including people who've actually made a post. Updated! What seemed like a once-insurmountable 10,000 post lead for the Jasons has been cut to barely a third of that as the Bobs/Robs/Roberts unite for a late offensive. The Marks debut in an impressive third place, and the Tims and the Jeffs/Geoffs also place strongly in their initial showings. A surprising surge by the Mikes/Michaels sees them moving up three places on the chart.

With the newest version the Jeffs/Geoffs leap into a solid fourth place, and the Chrises and Johns finally make their (long-awaited?) debuts.
Real names (when known) are also being included, and those for a good portion of the top three or four hundred forum posters remain unaccounted for, so positions on the chart could change dramatically. There's still hope for all the Deans, Patricks, Marcuses and Peters out there.

We now have a Gently Touched group (O'Malley, stop reading my mind!) which only includes those who've been permabanned, so no wumpus or synic/Kunikos, etc.
I like the idea of an "apparently crazy" group, but that seems too nebulous, even for a jokey graphic like this. madkevin? Cookiepants? Cleve? Theo Rex? Toddy half the time and half the posters in P&R all the time? It's still under consideration though.
Hmmm... see, when you start adding <insert pithy comment here> classifications, you run into issues where someone could fall into multiple groups. Like ol' madkevin here... he's <apparently crazy> and a Kevin. Which group would his posts count for?
E5... which group????!!! True enough, and we wouldn't want to the chart to get too unwieldy. There was a similar dilemma with Xaroc as he was part of both the Robs and the Funks, so I put him in both. The Andrew M's wanted to see how they were doing in regards to the Andrews as a whole (as did I), so they're included in two groups. Similar reason for the Entity group.

As many have pointed out, a lot of the groups are dominated by a single poster. McCullough accounts for 49% of the Jasons' posts, Nahr for 41% of the Chris's, extarbags for 52% of the Jeff/Geoffs', and Chick for 55% of the Toms'. It also turns out that shift6/voltaic and Asher account for 36% and 35% respectively of the Marks' total.

The upper bars in each data series are the current totals as of 1/02/08, the lower bars are totals from 4/10/07. The first number after each name is the total members of that group, the second number is the total from the previous version of this chart. Some user names from the older version have been recategorized.
Members can be included in multiple categories, e.g. all members of the "Andrew M" group are also included in the "Andy/Andrew" category.
The "Gently Touched" group only includes members who are currently or permanently banned.
The <Adjective><Animal> group only includes members who have made at least one post.
And the Jasons are still kicking butt.

Sorry, I guess I don't consider someone who has another country's queen printed on their money as autonomous.
Weirdly, this actually isn't the case. Queen Elizabeth II is, by one of those bizarre things that save face, not only the Queen of England, she is also the Queen of Canada. It's the fact that she's the Queen of Canada that makes her the titular sovereign here. Her Queenship of the UK doesn't get her anything. It's one of those formalities, but in point of fact, Canada has the Queen of Canada on its currency, not the Queen of the United Kingdom. Who happens to also be the Queen of a bunch of other Commonwealth countries.

See, that's the nice thing about a Constitutional Monarchy. Our Queen is a figurehead. She's designed to be loved, a unifying force, because she has no actual power, it's all symbolic. The only people who don't like the Queen are people who don't like the monarchy, they generally have nothing personal against Elizabeth II herself. Our political leader, the Prime Minister, who happens to be Steven Harper at this moment, is regularly the target of animosity. Harper, specifically, is often referred to as "Shrub", because he's like a little Bush. He gets plenty of hatred sent his way.
So, to clarify: The Queen is not really Canada's "leader" so making fun of her isn't generally done as political humour.
