So... Anyone else think this would work? What I'm thinking, is that if Sony makes a price drop during the Summer, that'd give people more incentive to purchase a PS3 for GTA, since its always been a Sony First product.

But, if a lot of people already have 360's, due to Halo 3 coming out in september, they'll buy Rockstar's game, and also 360 stuff.

Anyone else agree? Disagree? Write random Shit (You people are adept at it)?

Halo 3 has a gargantuan built-in audience. They can release it pretty much whenever they want and still have a chance at huge, record-breaking sales, especially if the multiplayer beta goes well.

So uh.. I have no idea if this will happen, but it is certainly feasible.

What he said. As long as the previous Halo game lived up to expectations, the next one will sell millions of copies. As soon as one of them sucks, though, all bets are off, but Bungie's done two right and I don't expect them to screw up the third. They will all get money hats no matter when they release it, but the release date still might mean a couple percentage points either way.

I went to pre-order the Legendary edition from Gamestop a couple weeks ago. They said they already had over 700 pre-orders, and the EB down the street had over 1,000. Whatever happens, H3 is going to sell big.
