Close Combat - Cross of Iron (anyone?)

Anyone taking the plunge on this re-write of Close COmbat III (my favorite of the series). It's a bit expensive and I'm hoping to see reviews first...

$40 is ridiculous. It's nice they cleaned it up, and added a campaign, but $40?

Agreed. I'm as big of a Close Combat fan as they come. It'd be nice to have a new CC, especially after the disappointment of GI Combat and what not, but I'm not dropping $40 for a nice mod.

CC3 was awesome. I don't know why people were so down on CC4 and 5 though, stability issues aside the campaigns were great fun in multiplayer.

Someday someone will make a proper sequel.

I couldn't find my original CC3 disks anymore so I sprung for this new one. It's fun, and reminds me of while I liked the original so much, and how no one has really captured that vibe quite as well...
