View Full Version : The Number 23
A movie starring Jim Carrey about paranoia. The trailer got me interested and the website freaked me out a bit.

Someone's been reading the Illuminatus trilogy.

I liked the trailer, this definitely has me interested ... Jim Carrey has always been a pretty dark person to me, for a comedian, so I think he'll be great in this role.

Wow, that looks really good.

Is this the sequel to The Three?
I must have watched a different trailer than everyone else, because the one I saw before Blood Diamond looked utterly retarded. Also, Joel Schumacher hasn't made a watchable movie in 6 years, and has made like one good movie his entire career.
While we're at the topic, you could try to get ahold of 23 (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0126765/). It's a decent movie inspired by real events - just don't expect it to focus on conspiracies. The paranoia is more a side effect of the main character doing what he's doing.

I'm afraid I'm going to have to go with Ben on this one. Schumacher hasn't machered a good film and years, and this particular one looks like "here's-my-David-Fincher-number-inspired-NiN-soundtracked-corroded-font-black-and-red-horror-thriller-movie."
"The optimist drinks a half-full glass of water and gets his thirst quenched, while the pessimist is content with getting nothing but gas."

This wouldn't happen to be a Sony movie, would it? Someone investigate!

What about Phone Booth?

The optimist drinks a half-full of water and realizes it's poison and then fucking dies with blood oozing out of his ears and shit.
It's true!

Good movies he made: Flatliners, The Lost Boys, Falling Down.
So laughing at you Mr. Funny Man! That's like three good movies! All from more than 10 years ago, but still. (Oh yeah and Phone Booth was pretty good too. But then I couldn't make my "over ten years ago" remark.)

If Schumacher has done it before and went a little soft, Who is to say he cannot regain the old magic.
I am looking forward to this film after finally paying attention to a movie preview on and internet ad and then watching the trailer.
I think Jim Carey has madd acting skillz
