View Full Version : Dominions 3 new maps?

I've just finished playing Dominions 3 for review, and I'm pretty hooked. Now I'm looking for sources of new maps. Beyond the 3 or so on the Shrapnel forum, are there any good sources for very cool Dominions 3 maps? For the moment I'll be doing almost exclusively single player against the AI, if that makes a difference wrt maps.

The latest 3.04 patch included a new map if you didn't know.

For Dom2 there were a bunch that were put up on Illwinter's site. It should probably be possible to take the .TGA files as-is, and modify the .MAP files for Dom3 (AND double-check it in-game to make sure nothing was missed grmblgrmblCradlegrmblgrmbl).

I've played around a little with the random map generator, but I wouldn't use it outside of just fooling around with the AI. For one thing it sometimes generates provinces that look like sea (blue) but are land.
