As for the meme - it started off as some game video (think War3) - guy goes "where are you?", respone is "I'm in your base, killing your doodz" I've never seen the source, but I've seen the hoards of spin offs (with the cat pics being the lamest usually).

I believe the first recorded use was during a game of Starcraft, where one guy said "I'm in ur base, killin ur d00dz." A screenshot made it to the net, and an internet meme was born.

Also, one of the things that has given it a recent resurgence is it's use by one of the blizzard community managers. I think it was Tseric that replied to a post, saying:

So the meme has been continuing

That makes sense. Pretty much every internet meme that makes me want to SMASH seems to have either been spawned or revived over on those atrocious forums... only to be repeated over and over and over and over again by idiots in Barrens/LFG chat.

Yeah. The playerbase makes it easy to not miss *that* game.
