EB Games has it listed as "Usually ships in 24 hours," which usually means that the product in question has shipped to stores. Their website could be in error, I guess.

huh. I have to wait anyways, too many games, but I sure hope it works well, I'd like to dump the 1982 walkman style headphone.

Yeah I thought it was 10/31 but looks like it has been put back a week. What about HD-DVD, when's that out?

Thanks for reminding me on these, I need to pre-order both. If it's anything like the camera was finding them at launch is going to be a nightmare.

Near the end of the year:

That doohickey should let you use all the wireless 360 accessories with your PC. Currently, the 360 headset DOES work on a PC if you plug it into a wired controller in your PC.

The wireless headset is supposed to offer much improved sound quality over the standard one, which is the real selling point for me. I just hope it's comfortable. I don't mind the whole "working in a call center" look of the original one. I don't play games not to look like a dork. :P But it's not especially comfortable on my small head.

I think the current wired headset is of piss-poor design and construction which is partly why I am eagerly anticipating the wireless model.

My first one snapped quite easily. Hell, I still had my job when it broke (Bought the system in January... lost my job in February). The doohickey that plugs it into the controller partially broke off, such that I could hear, but not respond, to my friends tormenting insults.

So, bought another one. 3rd party, piece O crap. Died after a few months. Now, i'm working on the cellphone headset that I used for ORIGINAL Xbox.... Tre sad.
