Time for me to go reserve me a copy.

And they got the guy who scored Mattels Barbie movies to do the music...
and it looks.. incredible.
This word clearly doesn't mean the same to you and me... but the small clips of people playing the game looks kinda nifty (swordfighting, not archery - it looks like people are slashing and thrusting, but of course you can't see if all their moves are on the screen or if it's just a couple of standard moves and their variation is because they're cought up in it. But it looks kinda cool... and they're sitting down)

This is probably because i'm hooked on zelda, but it's my most anticipated game and I think it looks warmer and more epic then any next-gen game i've seen a trailer for thusfar.
But like I said - to me zelda is a magical world where no game comes close to.
(PS: incredible was a notch to tingle in WW.)

This is a strange and disturbing thing to read in English. What can it mean? Something... terrible? Or maybe best not to know. Not even to enquire. Yes, that's ... safer.

God - that makes me regret cancelling my pre-order a little.
I am such a Zelda fanboy.
But I simply cannot afford a Wii after just spending $1600 on a new TV.

Looks great. Zelda has been a consistently fantastic series.
Speaking of which, I saw Zelda: The Wind Waker yesterday for $2.99. Are gamecube games really that cheap now?

No, gamecube games are not normally that cheap. But I guess the shops have to make space for the Wii and the PS3, so they might be clearing out the gamecube games. I guess Nintendo didn't stress enough about the backwards compatibility bit... It would suck for new Wii owners if they think that the only choice of games are Wii games.

Yeah, the Nintendo franchises actually seem to keep their value longer. Hell, I think Smash Brothers still goes for $20 or so at most places.

Hmmm.... I may have to go back and pick that up.
Title splash screen music is stunning. Like $300 in 3 weeks stunning.

So. Anyone know if there will be visual differences betweent he Wii and Gamecube version? And the release dates of both? I'm interested in this game but I am most likely going to get it on gamecube unless there's a vast visual difference between the two.

November 19th for Wii, December 11th Cube.
I don't know if there are graphical differences (I don't think the Cube version has been shown since before E3), but only the Wii version supports widescreen.

I used to think I would pick up the Cube version even though I planned to get a Wii, but now, after hearing that the controls seem to have been worked out I'm definitely getting the Wii version. It looks beautiful and dammit it's Zelda.

I might have to look at placing a pre-order. Better than expected.
Looks good, I just hope the dungeons are massive. :D

I hope the game is challenging or I'll have to force the challenge by not collecting any heart pieces. I did this for Oot and only died 3 times.
Yea, If I spend $300 on this game and end up with enemy corpses exploding into a trove of hearts and rupies again, I'll quit gaming...
...for three hours.

I'm going to wait for the reviews of both versions before deciding.

I just watched that intro movie. Why do you have to "Press A + B" to start?

Those trailers, particularly Trailer 1, reminded me of Shadow of the Colossus. I do think Agro looks much better than Epona does in that trailer.

I sold my Cube a long time ago but I'll probably pick up a new one just to play this game. I'm more interested in this than what I see for the 360 or PS3, mostly due to the steel-tipped financial blinders I wear.
Truth be known, I'm just a sucker for Zelda and I miss it. I'll be a trading madman to get this.

The only comment I recall was from an EGM a few months back where Miyamoto and his designer thrall mumbled something about polishing up the graphics for the Wii version. No specifics, though.
But who cares? Widescreen and Wiimote slashing = Wii version!

Last I'd read, you didn't actually "slash" for combat. It was just a button press and all the videos you saw were people hamming it up. It was said that the only support it had for the Wii controls was aiming things.

Pretty sure that's not correct. I think it's a wrist flick to slash. What changed is that it isn't trying to map your hand moves one to one to the sword moves.

I don't know how it works exactly but the last EGM mentioned that the older control scheme was changed, and you would indeed use slashing motions to attack with your sword.

That's probably what I missed then. My info is from E3, I haven't kept up with anything since. It also makes me sure that I'll just stick to the gamecube version and hope there's not a huge difference in the graphics.
