I'll probably get it, because I loved Phantasy Star Online (even though I never played it online) for the Dreamcast.

There's going to be an open beta available for download soon, so that's one way to find out if it's crap or not. :p

I'm tempted to pick this one up, because I had quite a bit of fun with the first PSO. Main thing, though, is: PC or 360 version?

Double-plus ungood, you mean. Phantasy Star Blue Shift was terrrrrrible on the PC when it was *free*.

Demo available tomorrow (http://www.whatwouldmattdo.com/) on Live... (a blog link and stolen from Kotaku). If you want to try it, download it tomorrow as it'll only be available for download for two days... and it's big.

PSO was my first console online experience. Ah, the hours I spent trying to get the Dreamcast broadband adapter to work on a US console. I'm interested in it just from a nostalgia perspective, it's probably a good game. Unfortunately $10/mo. for multiplayer Diablo is not going to cut it for me.

Whatever happened to these, anyway? They were originally slated to come out last year, IIRC, then disappeared completely.
