3DO has announced an expansion for Heroes of Might and Magic IV. What were they thinking?

Maybe the expansion will make the game look and play exactly the way Heroes 3 did.

Or even Heroes 2. I'm not picky.

Some details... the expansion titled "The Gathering Storm" will include 20 single-player maps, 6 campaigns, 4 new creatures, 18 new artifacts, new editor features, new heroes, and a new music track. And the multiplayer patch but 3do still claims that it will be released on its own before the expansion is out. No random map generator, apparently no new city types, no word of AI improvements. Well, I won't be buying.

Will this be the expansion that fixes the AI? Otherwise a noshow for me.

What a waste. Hereos IV is actually pretty good, just has a crappy illogical overland map AI that ruins the game, imo.
