If you've ever seen Charlie Rose's godawful late night interviews, be sure to watch The Peter Bradley Show on The Royal Tenenbaums DVD. Absolutely brilliant.

EDIT: When I posted, I wrote "Jim Rose" instead of "Charlie Rose". My excuse: I don't watch TV.

Oh yeah, that is funny.

At first I thought it was totally legit interview that was thrown in on the DVD as an extra (like the Charlie Rose interview with Bill Murray and Wes Anderson is on the Rushmore DVD), and that The Peter Bradley Show was some kind of really local LA version of Jim Rose that the rest of the country doesn't get. But then I started watching it and it was hilarious.

You also see Peter Bradley fondling Gwenneth Paltrow's breasts in the montage about Margot's past. Damn, acting must be a tough job.

While I did enjoy that extra, I started it fully expecting it to be a full screen version of the show from the film, with Eli. That should have been on there regardless.

I'm just picturing the Jim Rose show...

[Voiceover: "And now, welcome to our special Halloween episode of The Jim Rose Show!"]

CUT TO: JIM ROSE SITTING IN FRONT OF TABLE, WEARING NAZI SS UNIFORM. SCOTT UDELL SITS ACROSS FROM HIM IN CIVIL WAR GARB.

"Okay, Mr. Udell, you gave my game only 4.5 stars. Why do you hold such a hatred for Talonsoft?"

Druish Princess, nice one! Although strictly for niche audiences. :)

Well, talk about ironic, but I just caught tonight's Charlie Rose and the guest host was Wes Anderson, with the guest being producer Robert Evans talking about his upcoming documentary The Kid Stays in the Picture.

What can I infer? That Charlie Rose must have a pretty good sense of humor, because that Peter Bradley parody was a dead-on riot in how it aped all of Rose's mannerisms and quirks.
