Hm. I've seen PvP at the uhh, whatever the SF bookshop in the Garage in Harvard Square is called, for at least a year if not longer. It's amusing, but I like Nodwick better.

Have you been reading PvP regularly? Kurtz was pimping his Image deal for over three months now. He's a great salesman of himself and his work...
...and the comics are actually teh funnay!

I finally quit reading PvP because it had a long stretch where I didn't think it was funny, and Kurtz was really pushing his products hard. The final straw was when he felt like he wasn't getting his butt kissed deeply enough by Alienware, and blasted them on his site despite getting a free computer. I still have my gaming fez, though.

I kept up with the comic up until the last 6 months or so... I used to read it while doing the recumbent bike at the gym (with a touch-screen and internet connection woohoo)
The new gym I usually go to doesn't have this, so I don't read my online comics any more. That was officially my "bike time".

I agree with Supertanker, Kurtz is a has become a whinney little bitch in recent years. This first began as "I'm better than everyone else" which evolved into "I'm better because everyone else sucks" which has become "I'm an entery level comic book person, you may kiss my feet". Worse, the stripped has fallen below user friendly level of funny. I'll give him props for forging ahead, I just wish he was funny.

It's easy to just read the strip and not his comments you know.

He actually followed up with a clarification/apology to Alienware, and I hardly think he's taken the stance of "I'm a new published comic artist, kiss my feet", because it's more like "Holy shit, I can't believe I'm being published! I never imagined people would want to BUY my comic!" kind of shock and awe over ego.
Anyway, it's still funny, I wish the Image books were more of the original story Dork Storm press instead of "expanded" online arcs (which is basically the same format as Liberty Meadows until LM gets through the syndicated strips).
