It is my last tuesday. Look up into the skies around 4:00 p.m. (EST) on Friday and you'll see me fly away from this pestilential pit of fucktards where I work. I've almost hacked through my hawser, my ankle is a bit chafed and angry, but I'm confident it will heal in the balmy atmosphere of learning and education, I'm about to surround myself with.
(I quit my job to return to school so I can fill up my brain some more.)

Don't worry, the world is supposed to end today.
We still have about 10 and half hours to go. 13 for you west coasters.

if you want to fill up your brain, why go to school
After 3 years of preschool, the standard sub-standard training of 12 years of grade school, 5 years of undergrad study and 3 years of grad school, I've come to the inescapable conclusion that school is utterly worthless and devoid of merit, other than a place to babysit children while the parents work

Some schools also teach you things.

Well, that's your experience. In mine, it depends on who you are, what your goals are, and which school you attend. I haven't needed babysitting for a long time.

Spend a year or two in a Top 25 Ph.D. program somewhere; you'll never look at any educational institution the same again.

I think the day I officially passed from being childhood to adulthood was when I realized I didn't want time to pass quicker, but slower.
I used to wish Thursdays were Fridays; now I often find myself wishing they were Tuesdays. (Mondays still suck too much.)

Does medical school count?

Does medical school count?
Medical school actually has a purpose outside of sustaining itself. So, no, it doesn't count.
Yeah. I avoided school so that I could work in a results oriented environment.

I wore out my arm throwing batting practice tonight. I've decided I can't type at work for the rest of the week so Tuesday just became Friday for me.

Christ, it's only Wednesday?
I've just finished some serious crunch time at work on a large new project. The product has been installed since installed since Monday and I'm now waiting for the first bug reports to come in since out tester is leaving the country and doesn't give a shit about work anymore.
Since Monday I've had to investigate one minor bug which has been reported. It also took 2 minutes to fix. In order to stave off boredom I've been making minor changes that will make things a little easier for the customer. I'll be installing the fixed version shortly.
Tomorrow and Friday are going to be boring. Maybe I should introduce some bugs to keep things busy.
Monday it's back to business with a huge project with an unrealistic deadline. Yay. Excitement.
