View Full Version : WoW long load times when zoning?

If you run a lot of mods, running one of the above linked mods will blow your mind. Catalyst+Ace seems like the way to go currently.

Which is the mod that makes it authenticate my fucking login info faster?

... connecting...authenticating...handshaking...
Blizzard does not need to improve on login/character handling or server stability as long as more and more people buy the game, so, doubt you'll see anything.
And I wonder how long these addons will last with the current situation of blizzard shutting down one addon after another.
Thanks for the link to the mods btw, posted it in my guild-forum, a few guys have 1+ min loading when they zone...
The more mods you run, the better these loadtime mods will work. Some people in my guild have gone from over a minute to 15s.
Allegedly in 1.11 or beyond a lot (all?) of what these mods do will be done by Blizzard so you wont need a mod to see the best load times you can get.

I guess it makes sense. First we had mods to improve gameplay, now we have mods to improve our mods. I can't wait for the next round of mods which enhance our mod-improving mods.

Eventually we will have mods that write other mods. This cycle will continue and accelerate until one day you will realize WoW is playing YOU.
