I'm average.

it just gave me the following error message:

"Your brain speed is too fast for us to measure."

actually it said their test didn't work for Mac users... which is pretty much the same thing, right?

I got better than average. About 2/3 of the way to "top performers" for my age group.

I missed the top performer number for my age group by 2 milliseconds (I'm 30 and scored and average of 37 milliseconds).

If you want to make your brain even faster, you can do so for the low low price of only five hundred dollars!

I wonder what my response time was between seeing their asking price and laughing loud and long at them. I'm guessing it was very near the top performer rating.

Seriously, my response time would have to be slower than it would take to enter in my credit card information for there to be any chance of me paying them anything.

Seriously does anyone think they would actually tell you if you are fast?

"Congratulations your brain is so fast you dont need our products!"

You 32 ms? Me too! Us big fast brain. Us go and conquer world!

Seriously though, that's a test for hearing accuracy and musicality, not brain speed...

Not only that what about motor skills. How much do you want to bet the $500 brain training is playing this game over and over until you're fast at it.

Well I don't know how fast my brain is because I utterly failed to click on up and down arrows for an entire ten minutes due to extreme boredom.

Motor skills don't come into play at all. The website explicitly says that it doesn't matter how fast you click on the buttons, just that you hit the right ones.

I actually got the first 4 wrong by accident, but I ended up with a 30ms speed. I don't think the test can handle the raw power of my brain.

Ha! I won't fall for this "install Shockwave" trick. Fool me once, Internet, shame on you... etc.

27, bitches.

Probably due to many years of playing/teaching percussion. Specifically drum corps style of playing.

Then I can pass my poor score off to a defecit in reading comprehension. I was trying to hit them as fast as possible.

Went to Toronto last month and played with a machine in the science center. There's a vertical bar (like a big barometer) made out of blinky LEDs. When timer starts you're supposed to push a button to test your reaction time. Then there's a chart gauging your score with your age.

While I'm very clumsy in real life, in this game I seemed to be superior. I had speeds of someone 20 years younger. There is a disclaimer thought - While innate reaction speed cannot be changed, the skill of pushing buttons can be trained. So apparently playing all the video games makes you good at, hmm, pushing blinky lights, and playing video games.
