Found this (http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/south_asia/4824530.stm) via Poe-News. It is a BBC article about a boy that supposedly has fasted for 10 months, then went missing, and that is now only seen in bigfoot style sightings and grainy home videos. At the very end of the article it states that:
"His followers say he has been meditating for 10 months without food or water and is immune to fire and snake bites.
But these claims have not been independently verified. ..."
Older articles concerning the boy are also fun. (http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/south_asia/4479240.stm) I liked this tidbit "Friend and cousin Prem Lama remembers Bamjan saying that he did not want people to call him Buddha as he had only reached primary enlightenment."
