View Full Version : The SuperPredators- Why we should all fear for our lives.

The Superpredators was a term coined in 1995 by John J. DiIulio, Jr. The Superpredators are young teens who act violently and show ZERO remorse when they are actually caught. They don't know the difference between right and wrong, and honestly they don't care. Mr. DiIulio claimed during President Clinton's term that if we don't act quickly, juvenile crime will only escalate to the breaking point. He said that Inner city gangs that were once prevalent in low income neighborhoods will start to crop up in medium and high income areas. This dire prediction was made in 1995 and unfortunately we haven't done anything to change the incoming train wreck.

Let's look at what's currently taking place in America. Gangs are more prevalent than ever before. Gang leaders don't have to recruit anymore because they get enough children who seek them out. In NJ alone we have counties that are being taken over by gangs. Trenton and parts of Essex County are under a state of emergency because of the escalation in violence in recent months. In fact, the NJ attorney general has recently stated that today's gangs pose a much more serious threat then the mob. Philadelphia and New York City has seen a dramatic increase in crime and murder.

Don't think that you can escape the violence because you live in a wealthy neighborhood either. Just a month ago a home invasion robbery took place in a very wealthy suburb in NJ. The father who owned 3 auto body shops was followed by 4 young teens. They tied up the family and killed the father in front of his family. Then they raped the wife and looted the 1 million+ dollar home clean! They have since been caught and are awaiting trial.

Today's killers are only getting younger. They have ZERO remorse for anything that they might do. The only time they are truly sorry is when they are caught. They don't know right from wrong and they don't care about their own safety. They live for today and the hell with the future.

So what do we do about these Superpredators? It's only going to get worse. The liberals answer to this dilemma is we rehabilite them, but as we're finding out this doesn't work. They manipulate the system to their own benefit, and once they are back on the streets they revert to their old ways: robbing, killing and raping innocent people. Conservatives will tell us that longer jail time is the answer. But is it? How many jails can we actually keep building and at what expense? It cost us the taxpayers $32,000 a year to house these felons. That's an awful lot of money to house young criminals.

So what are the answers? IMO, the terrorist aren't what we have to worry about today. It's the children who are growing up without fathers. These are America's next killers and they are growing in numbers that are truly terrifying. We are all at danger and our way of life is going to be threatened in the near future unless we take drastic steps.

By combining old people's hatred of youth and white people's hatred of blacks, you can create hysteria among the retarded! I love how DiIulio claimed "we must do something" 10 years ago to stop a bad thing from happening, we do apparently nothing, nothing bad happens, and somehow instead of a discrediting him it makes the situation even more dire. He must get along great with Paul Ehrlich.

From your only non-sensationalist link:
"For example, the 2001 gang survey excluded from consideration any motorcycle gangs, hate or “ideology” groups and/or prison gangs. The 2004 survey more broadly defined gangs -- consistent with language drawn from the New Jersey Criminal Code -- as “three or more people who are associated in fact ... people who have a common group name, identifying sign, tattoos or other indicia of association, and who have engaged in criminal offenses while engaged in gang-related activity.”

Clearly, we should just kill them all. I suggest rounding up all fatherless children and launching them into the sun.

Today's killers are only getting younger.

Now that IS scary.

Just in case, though, I'm buying another gun. If ever a place had fatherless children, it's the Camp Lejeune area. I mean, since fatherless children = remorseless killers, that would explain all those youth gangs I've seen.

On Schwinns.

Diulio is a cretinous media whore. His classes at my school were an example of everything that is wrong with political science departments across the United States. My wife made the mistake of taking a class with him, attended 5 classes/whole semester, got an A after contesting a grade with a TA that never bothered to read her final paper. He teaches trendy bullshit that hybridizes sociology and political science, with a tutorial on manufacturing convenient statistics on the side.
Some people saw it as a credit to Bush initially that he could get Diulio on board for his faith based inititative. I saw it as a guarantee (back in those innocent, halcyon days) that fbi's were fucked. If he's behind Superpredators, you know its crap. A Clockwork Orange came out along time ago, and it's still representative of an unusual extreme.

I read an article recently that was basically a big academic LOL at all the Clinton-era hysterics, comparing it up to statistics that show the consistent flatness of violent crime incidence, and who was commiting such crimes, since whenever.

Oh drat, there I go again, killing and raping without remorse. Le sigh.

So, someone who kills without remorse is a superpredator? Wow, in my day, they were just called sociopaths.

Isn't someone who stalks and kills or rapes a predator? Aren't lions predators? So a superpredator doesn't feel bad about raping corpses, but a predator does? Does that means lions feel remorse? What difference does that make to a gazelle?

Also, the solution of introducing social climbing, greedy, remorseless murderers to religious zealotry seems rather poorly thought out.

Is there any other reasons that we should "fear for our lives" that we're forgetting about because it isn't really true?

I just want to make sure I'm up on all the talking points.

Wasn't that an X-Files episode plot?

Exactly. In fact, DiIulio infamously predicted imminent massive increases in crime rates immediately before crime rates began to plummet. This thread is remarkable simply because it shows that someone, somewhere is still listening to this guy. (Eeeek! Superpredators!) For those worried about the incredible epidemic of violent crime we're currently suffering,

http://www.ojp.usdoj.gov/bjs/glance/cv2.htm

Other crimes and within-age group charts look similar. Recall DiIulio's predictions were made in 94-95 and there is substantial reporting lag, so he wasn't aware crime rates had actually started to fall rapidly when he was busy becoming infamous yapping about superpredators. He then went on, as I recall, to lead some sort of `let's get more religion into government' program for W's administration.

Unless we are talking about this kid with a wrist computer and a shoulder mounted laser grenade launcher wearing cloaking armor, I'm not scared.

Ah, but see, SUPERPredators don't turn invisible - their cloaking field makes them look like little kids, instead. Devious.

Do not fear, those chosen to follow the Old Ways of He Who Walks Between The Rows are not what I would call "tech savvy."
