View Full Version : So What's going on with Tom?

I was listening to the poweruser.tv podcast and they eluded to Tom possibly getting snatched away by one of the big guys.
What's going on?
Spill the beans!

Snatched by what, aliens? Who are we talking about here? And big guys meaning who? Could you try to be more ambiguous?

Because I noticed that in the photo on the cover of the last Qt3, he's the only one barefoot.

For his sake I hope he's getting both done. Nothing worse than asynchoronous boobs.

Poweruser without Tom becomes the Brad show really quick. Lack of balance. The CES show was good since it was less wackiness and full of Vista new. (Why I'm horny for Vistia I do not know since I have a mac with a recent version os X) However this last power user show was rather a drag.
As for Tom, I wonder if he is doing the rumored Computer Gaming World Pod cast?

No, it's just that the big guys who snatch you up like that sort of thing.

I don't care about Vista even a little bit. The CES broadcast was a nightmare for me. The Brad Show is the stuff I listen to the Poweruser Podcast for, generally while playing Disgaea. The two things are becoming inextricably linked in my mind.
Edit: I haven't heard this week's show yet, so if Brad was really annoying in it, I still have the opportunity to distance myself from that. Although having endorsed his prior body of work has probably already damned me in the eyes of many. Well screw you! If you love Windows Vista so much, why don't you let it put its hand up your ass?

The CES show annoyed me and put me to sleep at the same time, I couldn't listen to it, turned it off after about 20 minutes.
This week wasn't too horrible, but I think Tom was needed.

I like when Brad threatens to talk about his gas and his co-workers all shout, "NO! PLEASE!"
It makes me wonder what working with Brad must smell like.

Man, I'll be the coolest guy at my office on Friday for the 30 seconds between:
"I know a guy who was on last night's episode of The Office!"
and explaining that by "know a guy" I mean "communicate indirectly with on the internet about video games." Maybe I can regain their adoration by explaining we have the same TV (http://www.quartertothree.com/game-talk/showthread.php?goto=lastpost&t=23816) too, but I doubt it.

What does Jack Bauer have to do with this?
Why is he saying WOOT in the last panel?
Lunch of Kong

Because Tom's acting career in various television productions, the Jack Bauer Power Hour, and the exclamation "WOOT!" comprise some of the QT3 forum topics that we old farts find endearing.
In other words, they're all inside jokes.
