I saw this on Shacknews. A new tactical strategy game with the Captain Scarlet license is in development. Being a huge fan of the series, I have great hope for something cool. I'm trying to figure out if it will be more like Xcom or Commandos: Behind Enemy Lines. http://www.batfishstudios.com/
On the other hand, maybe they picked Captain Scarlet because their animators suck.

A different guest to the above. Call me Ishmael, if you would.
So Captain Scarlet and the Mysterons is known about in America? I'm honestly surprised...

I don't think anyone outside old science fiction geeks knows about it, but a local TV station (near San Francisco) picked it up when I was a kid. We used to rush home to watch Captain Scarlet, and later the reruns of Tom Baker's Dr. Who episodes. Very few people in my town knew what a Dalek was, so they never knew what to make of us running around yelling, "Ex-term-i-nate!"

I've got Captain Black boxed in my living room, and he says "everyone will die" every time I poke him. I hope they don't ruin this.

Well, I remember watching Captain Scarlet on TV when I was a kid, here in Canada. When the complete set of episodes were released in a DVD collection last year, I immediately ran out and bought it. Good stuff. :D

Aw, everyone knows that games based on old British Sci-Fi licenses are lame. Take a look at X-Com!

Actually, he does live, I think, and is probably still working.
I just got some UFO series DVDs. It has audio commentary from people like Ed Bishop, whoever it was who played Paul Foster, and one of the directors. It would be cool to have a game based on that... I assume that X-Com isn't really based on it except perhaps distantly, it really seems to have little to do with the series. Anyhow, chicks with purple hair on the moon.... cool theme music.... the same interceptor combat sequence every episode almost.... Well... maybe not. Still it was a cool series at the time.

Ed Bishop lives local to me. I used to play in a band with his son.
