Well, I caught bits and pieces of this show while avoiding commercials during other shows, and it caught my interest enough to make me want to watch the finale.

Pretty damn cool. I liked it... especially since they basically summarized EVERYTHING of note that happened throughout the series. I really don't feel like I missed an episode. From what I saw, the Joe dude pretty much made the right choice. Seriously, the ending was so good I honestly feel like it could have been scripted... except the acting would have been way too good for a Fox production.

While a dumbass, the joe millionaire dude wasn't as much of a jerk as I thought. He also had enough brains to pick the right chick... so... well, maybe he's not that dumb.

I kinda can't believe it, but Fox actually imrpoved my opinion of humanity. That's kinda like ... I dunno ... France coming in to rescue the US from political disaster on the world stage ...

I was surprised at the happy ending*, most Fox stuff like this thrives on conflict and the misery of others.

*of course we don't know how things worked out after the show, so we have to tune in next week!

I think they gave it away when they said that they'd be "re-united" for a 1-hour special. If they're still together, I think that would be insanely cool though.

It was a teenie bit touching and I watched for the first time with my wife at work. I found myself actually hoping they are still together when next we see them in a week.

Great ending. I am so ashamed.

I don't know. I think the whole thing was rather obvious.

It was made obvious through the editing - and it was the only smart choice - that Zora was picked. She was the Cinderella character, surrounded by her evil stepsisters, who eventually charmed Prince Meathead.

It was obvious that Zora would want to continue the "journey" - she was on camera for the whole thing, and certainly didn't want to look shallow in front of a nationwide television audience.

And the surprising twist was completely obvious as well. Exactly what everyone was expecting. Some twist.

Part of the fun of the show, all along, has been the feeling that the editors were playing along with the audience, constantly exposing all the participants for the idiots they actually were. The episode with the infamous "slurping" and the Zora-in-a-disney-movie from a few weeks ago was one of the best episodes of reality television I have ever seen, precisely because you could tell the people behind the show were just reveling in the absurdidty of it all and welcomed the viewer along for the ride.

With that in mind, the ending did leave a smile on my face. Of course, I felt a little bit of vomit come up a few seconds later.

The only thing gayer than playing DDR.. is willingly watching Joe Millionaire.

The reason that they're being reunited for the first time since the taping ended is that they had to stay apart from the end of the taping until after the finale, or some clown would have spotted them together and spoiled the end of the show.

It's no different then how people who get voted off of Survivor have to stay "hidden" until the episode they're voted off airs, then they "appear" and do interviews aplenty. It's in the contract. It's the same with all the reality shows.

My wife -- an avid follower of the show since day 1 -- was pretty convinced he'd pick Sarah. I bet on Zora the whole time. Just the same, I, like most of you, were glad he made the "right" choice.

Anyway, the show wasn't as horrible as I expected. I didn't really mind watching it with my wife too badly.
