OK, please, first of all let's respect the rules and not start posting any images or getting ideas.

This weekend I was having a conversation with an acquaintance and heard about this drinking game that's allegedly from Japan.

You know all those nasty images people send around - goatse, tubgirl, etc? Imagine that one person makes up a movie quote for every image, let's say 8 for example. He writes these quotes on a list in random order, shows the images, and tells his gathered friends and comrades to arrange them. The winner, the one with the closest match of quotes and images, gets to take a shot of sake and then decides the quotes for next round.

So basically, in order to get drunk, you must be good at looking at, thinking about, and comparing a grossly disturbing image to a quote to your favorite and most-remembered movies. This is masochistic on so many levels, I have to call BS. Urban legend? I can't find anything on Snopes.

Yeah, and it only takes about 5 hours to finish off a six pack at that rate.

I'm with Robert, that seems like an overly complex thing to do just to get drunk.

Yeah, drinking games generally work the opposite way--your ability to reason (or, in some games, perform an act of dexterity) lets you avoid taking a drink. In fact, it sort of has to work that way, otherwise the game (and therefor the drinking) would end as soon as people got too buzzed to think clearly. The ideal drinking game is feedback loop where each drink makes you a little less capable of avoiding the next drink.

So I call false.

Also, do you really do shots of sake?

Raise your hand if you thought this was another sly jab at Kitsune.

Yeah, I thought it would involve drinking something else than sake before I clicked the topic.
