I know this is an older game, but I was hoping someone here could help.
I'm trying to run this on an XP machine with a monitor set at 1280 x 1024.
When I load the game, I get the game in a tiny box. Apparently, resolutin is set at 640 x 480. I changed my desktop to 800 x 640, and the box was much larger. But now all of my desktop icons are messed up.

So my questions are:
1) Does anyone know how to run this game "full-screened"
2) If I have to reset my screen reslotuion manually, does anyone know how to do this
"temporarily", so your icons are not all reset?

Try setting an option in "compatability" to "640 x 480 resolution". That should do it, but I've had a pretty crummy time getting anything with compatability mode to work.

I tried setting that option but it didn't work. The splash screen was full size, but the rest of the game went back to small screen.
Anyone else have any ideas?

It's been a while but I think you're pretty much stuck with it that way. I recall one guy on another forum dissing it at the time just because of that. But the gameplay's worth it if you can handle that issue.

I never did get around this, and always switched desktrop resolutions before playing.

When you reset your desktop resolution, is their a way to keep your desktop icons form moving? Or do you just have to put them back manually?

Even though i find this game really really tough to do well in, i just love it - it has a particular uniqueness and its a great 'unknown' game. The rpg system its based on is one of the best pen and paper systems i've played. Great game.
Sadly i have no way to fix your issue - i think you just have to put up with getting your icons messed up, a small price to pay imho.
