(never got it here in Canada)

Man is it bad. I mean, they just try too hard to fit the story in to 20 minutes. Deus ex machina goes rampant. Blair is such an unbelievable goody-goody. Ugh. Definitely NOT the character I made in Wing Commander 1. But damn, Mark Hamill and Tom Wilson have a great rapport, they really go back and forth as Maverick and Maniac.

There was a Wing Commander cartoon!? You learn something every day.

I'm not surprised that it was crappy. The wing Commander movie sure did suck.

Yup, and apparently it's a legal download. (http://www.wcnews.com/wca/)

They were trying for a mature storyline, but there's no way you can pull that off in reset-button 20 minute episodes. Now, this universe with the Exo Squad cartoon creators would have been something.

Geez. You think they'd at least be able to just turn each game mission into a 20 minute episode, make it a serial cartoon, and be done with it. Fine, okay, turn the bar room conversations into in-flight radio chatter, but otherwise the thing practically writes itself.
