That kid is a great example of what happens when parents have no backbone.

It seems silly not to have a communicator based on this. Everyone knows Xbox Live! is generally only as good as your friends list.

Oh, and any reasonable parent would have shut off the TV/Xbox after the first back talk. My father would have killed me if I had talked to my mother like that. This is a classic example of why parents are the problem and not games, comics, TV, movies, music, etc.

I think it is people just afraid to confront their kids. And you don't have to actually hit them just turn the xbox off and send them to their room. The kind of behavior on that video though was obviously caused by years of not setting limits and episodes like that probably happen quite frequently unfortunately.

Jeez, I might save this as a reminder of how NOT to be a parent. (Our seven-month-old's never gonna have THAT attitude if I can help it!)

What was that where the kid swore at her a bunch and then started asking her for chocolate milk?!?!?!?!

I couldn't make it to the end either....
Cheers,

Just to ensure that people like that can no longer breed "children" (term used loosely) which they so clearly cannot raise.

That's probably true, but none of my friends have Xboxes. Maybe that's why I just play SW Battlefront over & over...

Then he turns into Cartman.

LOL! I thought it was pretty funny. Especially with the character moving his lips in time to it. What game is that? I don't remember the first Rainbow 6 on the XBox looking that good.

I'm embarrassed for that little brat. He's like a real life Cartman, demanding things from his mom and then bitching at her. Xbox Live! truly is only as good as your buddy list. Without good friends, you'll likely be stuck with the asshole strangers that comprise the majority of the Live! population.

You don't see the Qt3 crowd on Live much these days. I've been on semi-regularly playing all sorts of stuff in the last couple months and from about 9PM to 1AM on weekdays and weekends. I see Bitterman (DConrad on Live) sometimes and maybe one or two others like Wholly Schmidt (Schmidt) and Xaroc (Xaroc). I suspect you'll see some people playing Conker.

I'm playing Forza right now, myself.

The kind that allows their children to talk back to them like that.

TomChick
06-30-2005, 02:37 PM
Is she trying to send him to bed, or is she telling him to shut it off because she's going to bed? I've watched the thing a couple of times and I'm pretty sure it's the latter.

BTW, Brooce, why do you think it's staged? If it is, they've certainly got me fooled.

If it wasn't staged, he needs to be beaten. And his parents.

Toomas (Finnish for Tom), that's exactly what I think, for the reasons already mentioned, plus the fact that it's on the Internet, which means I assume it's fake.

Wait, so you're saying the kid and his mom in the background are just making it up, and that they're actors? No way, man. That's stuff is too true to life.

Do you know the history of children's tantrums, Bruce? Because I've done the reasearch. You're glib!

Not actors in the sense that you or the psychiatry expert guy are actors, but definitely in the same way as those guys who recreate the Warcraft Japanese anime battles are actors.

I'm working on a joke connecting photon milk and chocolate milk, but it's too much of a stretch right now. I'll get back to you if I can make it work.

Keep us posted, Wholly! I think you're on to something.

Bruce, you're crazy. I've been listening to the mother/son interplay, particularly trying to listen to the mother in the background, and it's pitch perfect.

The recording of it might have been staged ("Psst, hey guys, this kid in our clan keeps getting in trouble with his Mom, so we're going to record it...!"), but there's just too much going on in that exchange for it to have been scripted.

-Tom

"You're messin' me up!"

I guess I'll wait a couple of days when its not on a site that actually makes me register.. yeah, does FileCloud think they get more traffic by forcing us to do that? I go to FileFront consistently (hint: more ad revenue) because they don't try to force me to register. Heck, the only site I'm registered on is FilePlanet and that's only because it uses the same login as GameSpy Arcade (which used to be good once upon a time).

Bugmenot has a login for it. It's bugmenot01. The password is bugmenot. But it doesn't matter... after you log in, it says "this file is not available."

A kid can't do that shit unless his mom didn't get him his motherFUCKING chocolate milk. It seems staged.... but that stuff all is too familiar and I just don't see how you could stage something like that with all that yelling, and for that long.
