Looking For Older Patch (Warlords III: Darklords Rising)

I've got a release version 1.00 and I've tracked down a 1.02 update but the readme leads me to believe I also need the 1.01 installed first (though it's pretty vague). That 1.01 update is proving pretty hard to track down. The SSG-US site is a real mess. I can't tell if there is a patch there or not. Also I'd prefer to download from a non-commercial service if possible.

Killing time till Amazon gets around to shipping me Romance of The Three Kingdoms X....

http://www.avault.com/pcrl/patches_temp.asp?patch=warlordsbc3 seems to indicate that the 1.02 patch includes the 1.01 stuff. Hey if you just installed it and don't have saved games or anything at risk, may as well give it a shot.

No joy. Patches Scrolls only had the 1.02 update and the other link is for a Battlecry patch. But thanks for the quick response. :)

The Warlords series is no longer supported by SSG after Steve Fawkner started Infinite Interactive, so you won't find anything at the SSG website. The Warlords patches from Infinite are here:

They don't have a 1.02 patch either - my guess is that 1.02 patches 1.00 with no need for 1.01.

That was a great game when it came out - I really enjoyed it.

It's funny, I just got into this game again recently, and found that the 1.02 patch worked fine with my bare installation. Wonderful game. I also have Warlords IV, but I've not touched it yet due to Warlords III: Darklords Rising taking up my time.

Oh man, this even had the ancient Windows 95 patch for Wing Commander IV! I think I'll go revisit my childhood now.

Thanks, the 1.02 did work fine without the previous update. I guess I should have just tried that first. And someone found a patch for Wing Commander IV so it wasn't a total wash. :D

Official word from Infinite Interactive is that the 1.02 patch is fine. Also, they add this note:

I found the shortcut path "-wincursor" fix on my own. It was a pretty cranky Warlord before that. Anyhow, screw Amazon, I cancelled my order and picked up Romance X at GameStop. Now the problem is whether I dare load up up on a worknight...or should I wait for the holiday weekend?
