I don't know if anyone's recommended it, but you might try Bejeweled.

In fairness to Jakub, they did have to finish up the Bejeweled port to the Krups FEC211-70 before they put the final touches on the PC one, so he might have easily missed it.

Old Lady Gravy and her whole family (at least all the womenfolk) are hooked on Bookworm (http://www.popcap.com/gamepopup.php?theGame=bookworm) like it's heroin for Pollockesses. I think it might be by the same folks who blessed the world with Bejeweled. Bookworm was what mitigated her Snood affliction.

Sorry to have not had a comical one-word answer.

See if you can find Procrate. I sure as hell can't.

Bookworm's the type I have in mind, but this is something for my mother and English is most clearly her second language...

If you know anyone that has a PSP, playing Lumines would probably be enough to convince you to buy one.

:( I don't think lumines is worth the price of the handheld solely for it. If it is worth it to you, you must be very sucessful and prostituting or whatever you do.

Also Triptych (http://www.chroniclogic.com/index.htm?main.htm) is pretty fun. There is also one SHMUP type game that involves you flying around a bomb and chaining the blocks that fly at you. I forgot the name though.

Given that Snood is basically just a rip-off Puzzle Bobble/Bust-A-Move, you could look into the PC ports (http://www.mobygames.com/game_group/sheet/gameGroupId,122/) of that series

It's always amazed me in interviews with the Snood guy, it's like he invented this "novel" way of a new puzzle game. No he just took a great exsisting formula, and put it up on Download.com and other sites, and word of mouth took it from there. I never really liked the feel of Snood, it didn't feel as smooth or fun as Puzzle Bobble/Bust-a-move at all.

Not to mention the bargain basement aesthetics.

Yeah, I'll agree with that pimp, Candy cruncher is quite addicting.
