I'm really impressed with Believe. Anyone else listening to this fine disc? The band has brought their trademark sound into a more immediately listenable and accessible album but retained most of the force the first album displayed. It's good to hear a band doing more traditional metal but smartly making their own thing out of it.
Anyway...good stuff if you haven't heard it yet.

I enjoyed it for a bit, but to tell you the truth I liked the less accessible first CD better. :) They are fun in concert as well.

Great stuff indeed! I saw them with Korn about a month back and they were great. His voice sounds exactly the same live as it does on the album, always a nice thing.

Coincidentally, I've heard the same from a couple others. A good friend saw them when they were nobodys and opening up the second stage at Ozzfest. It was like 9AM or whatever when the show started and out came the singer in a strait jacket. They set the tone for the entire day according to my pal, who said the crowd was completely blown away. I've got to see them next time they're near Philly.
Another guy said the same thing as you about liking the first album better. Oh, well...that happens with bands. I'm really digging the second one. I hope they hang around for awhile.

I already had their 1st one when I saw them on the second stage at Ozzfest and yes they set the crowd on fire. It helped that we were in Nashville and it wa 90 degrees, but they were great. SAw them open for STP here in B'ham. Again, great.
BTW, I have a problem with new bands I love. New bands with original sounds rope me in and I tell everyone to hop on board and get it. By the time people have actually heard of them and listen to me about picking up their CD, it is a band's 2nd CD. They have become a tad bit more melodic , as you say, to be more accessible and it is not the same anymore. It may simply be the band's sound is not as fresh as when I first heard them or they may have become a little too radio friendly and lost the starving artist edge. I rarely like a second album as much as a debut. Maybe I am just loopy.
