I thought the ending was going to be one thing, but then it was another. Can you spoil a trailer? I"ll wait...

I suppose I didn't really need confirmation of how excited I am for Two Towers, but there it is. Honestly, though, I'm even more curious about Return of the King. Two Towers is all action. Return of the King is all internal monologue. In any event, I share your enthusiasm.

But will The Two Towers movie have any Ents?

Yes. I saw Treebeard in one of the trailers I've seen.

Haven't seen the one linked above yet, so I don't know if he's in that one or not.

That's what I thought it would be, the Ents. But it was actually Gandolf the White. I can't wait to see Shadowfax.

And no Shelob in Two Towers... the Sam meets Shelob chapters take place in the beginning of Return to King... I think to space out the action a bit. I was hoping theyd have that in Two Towers, considering I think thats the BEST part of the whole LoTR series and I wanted to see it right away. Because Sam becomes a great man in those scenes. You know... they might make it like EMpire, sorta ending with Frodo off to be eaten by spiders... like Han in cryo sleep (or maybe photon milk sleep? harhar), a downer ending whatnut.

etc

There are reports that the Helm's Deep battle sequence is 45 continuously running minutes long. That's pretty damn long.

I also heard the battle At Helms Deep is also somewhat graphic. Great!

I've seen some of the ones running around on Kazaa and Grokster about a month ago. Very poor quality, so I haven't even seen an Ent yet, but it did make me really look foreward to December(or whenever this thing's coming out)

Well, that's basically how The Two Towers ended, didn't it? I seem to recall something about the gates being closed on Sam as the final sentence. You can't get much more cliffhangery than that.

One other thing--I love that Cate Blanchett is doing the voice-overs for these LotR trailers. Fantastic voice, and it also fits in very well with role as Galadriel. I've watched that Two Towers trailer about a dozen times now, largely to hear her voice in the intro.

"Cliffhangery" is not a word. I did, however, find the following in my "Game Reviewer's Pop-Up Thesaurus" (pub. 1928 -- edited by Jeff Green, charming illustrations by Ernest Shepard):

cliffhangtabulous
cliffhangtacular
cliffhangtastic
cliffhangalicious
cliffhangeriffic
cliffhangoscopic
cliff-en-scene
suspenseful
