Alpha Centauri strategy guide

I've been scouring the net for a particular SMAC strategy guide. All I know about this guide is that it is put out by a small publisher, and it's apparently pretty great. Anyone have any idea what this guide might be called? Or, care to recommend a good guide for a Alpha Centauri/TBS newbie?

You're probably looking for the legendary guides written by Velociryx (he wrote two, for both Alpha Centauri and Alien Crossfire). They were originally in the public domain, and then he struck a deal with a publisher.
