Interesting tidbit on Jeremy Allaire's blog about the next Xbox. Who is this guy? He's now CTO of Macromedia. Before that he created ColdFusion (which he sold to Macromedia).

My question is... does he know this stuff? Is he guessing, or does he have inside info? He seems like the kind of guy who would...who would be working with MS in some capacity on the next Xbox. Or not.

Interesting either way.

From what I know, it's just a big educated guess based on the leaks and other people's speculation. I highly doubt it's insider info.

I didn't see anything there that hasn't already been widely discussed as part of the next XBox. Bill Gates' comments alone should key you in on the direction they are taking.

That said, I'm suprised he would be as specific as he was given the likliehood he will be widely quoted, particularly in regards to who he is. That would seem to be a case of him stealing MS' thunder on the official announcement, whenever that will be.

If he had any verified information, he wouldn't be able to talk about it. Thus, he's likely piecing together leaks and rumors.
