That's some dedication - 9 hours in one sitting!
Very nice line-work, although it's probably going to look pretty crappy when they get older.

Looka neat, but I wonder why it was all done in one sitting. When I got tattooed the upper limit was four hours no matter what you were doing, and 10 days healing inbetween sittings.

Poorly placed save points.

It's times like this that I wish everyone had seen that Red vs. Blue PSA about tattoos.
Remember kids:
1. Tattoos are permanant.
2. You are a goddamned idiot.
I'm sure he's just going to love having a tattoo of an infantile video game character when he's 45.

A co-worker named his daughter Zelda.

Zelda the name has been around a lot longer than the video game franchise.

Yeah, but it hasn't been fashionable to name anyone that since F. Scott Fitzgerald's Zelda went batshit insane/was betrayed and falsely committed by F. Scott. If it's happening today, it's probably due to the Nintendo game.

Nicely detailed work. And I give him credit for not throwing it on his arm, forearm or other somewhat difficult to hide while working place.
On the otherhand ... why put it in a place where you can't readily see it? That's quite a bit of expense for something you need a mirror to see.

What's wrong with having a large 4-colour tattoo of a videogame character on your forearm?
I figure you could do a matched pair, Mario and Princess Peach, and then you could rub them against eachother to show them finally getting it on after all these years.

Nothing really wrong with it, just that in a business enviroment it's still a bit disconcerting. Yeah, depends on the business I suppose. Earrings for men at work seem to be making headway, so tattoos may get there.

I think certain communities/minorities don't care about either happenstance.

Clearly, you have never seen Gerry Anderson's "Terrahawks."

You got a Planescape: Torment tattoo, right? It looked pretty cool, as I recall.
