I was wandering around the local video store and saw this on the shelf. "The best British kid's movie of the last five years!" enthused the generic sounding News of the Month. Here's the back cover:
Being born with two stomachs, Patrick Smash (Cook) soon finds that he has problems in the wind department! Despite his parents' attempts to control his flatulence, the chubby schoolboy has to face the facts - he will never fit and is destined to get into trouble all the time!
Patrick strikes up a friendship with bespectacled redheaded nerd Alan A. Alan (Grint) who was born with no sense of smell. The duo decide to use each others skill to enable them to follow their dreams- Alan's of becoming a famous scientist and Rupert's of becoming an astronaut.
This review (http://www.rottentomatoes.com/click/movie-10000935/reviews.php?critic=all&sortby=default&page=1&rid=316064) clinched it: here was another movie, a la the thoroughly terrible Zombie Lake, to again knock Y Tu Mama Tambien off of Tom Chick's Netflix cue.
I can only pray that the resolution of this boy-makes-good story is that Patrick's amazing farting talent will actually allow him to take off into orbit with a huge explosion of methane gas!
