Company will not die. I imagine they are now working out of a Uhaul trailer set up on block beside the road sending out press releases with their free 10 hour net zero account. They released their 3rd quarter 2004 report. Basically it says They lost a bunch of money, they made no money, blah blah blah but there was something interesting.

Additionally, the Company announced it has signed an agreement with Majorem, an Israeli game developer, to exclusively publish and distribute "Ballerium," the massively multiplayer online strategy game. The game, currently in beta testing, is expected to be commercially launched by summer 2005.

So whats look up the Status of Bellerium

Development suspended until further funding is found ::

Having no viable alternative and following the collapse of Majorem's only client, development is immediately suspended.

The technology, demonstrated successfully with Ballerium will now be offered as-is for whomever is interested in making an offer.

Hmmmmm..

Wonder if they'll make Ballerium into Fallout Online. You need developers to develop a game, and Interplay doesn't have anyone left in house.

I remember walking through their booth (the Ballerium developers) in Kentia Hall a couple of E3s ago. I was with a friend of mine and we were looking to scoop up any of the wild and wacky freebies they have down there in the ghetto. My friend walked into a somewhat cordoned-off area of their booth, and picked up a CD, thinking it was a demo CD, and started walking away.

They may have been only giving them to press or something, because somebody started following us out of the booth as if they were going to stop us. They didn't really do anything, though. I guess they didn't want to try and bust my friend, who happens to be 6'6", over a 25 cent CD...heh.

Hahaha, Ballerium.
No kidding. What's the premise, a persistent online world where players meet in a Thunderdome-esque arena to out-fuck each other?

If so, time to buy stock.

The blind leading the desperate. Herve will only screw them over but I guess they were already there, anyway.

Ballerium's developers are happy as could be (http://www.ballerium.com/community/showthread.php?s=5be1d67f55e89da9f68e50ac500fe4d7&threadid=2395) to have Interplay backing them. At least as say, NetDevil was to have 3DO publishing JumpGate.

Wonder if they are still developing Fallout online...

They are. As far as the investors can gather, Interplay was hoping (and still is) some large MMOPG company like Sony or EA will swoop down and develop it for them splitting the profits.

No no I'm not joking.

Yes really.

Stop laughing

I mean it....
