You left out coverage of the issue in the major East Coast papers. That alone will get a CEO's attention. They try to manage their public image, and hate to see it trashed by disgruntled workers/their spouses. Bad press coverage creates a cloud of uncertainty & makes investors wary.

This is not to say anything will actually change, but there will be an appearance of change I have no doubt.
