It's my first time, and I'm sort of excited.

That's a lot of piss. How many days worth was that?

That looks great. I haven't brewed any since I was 20, but someone was throwing away a complete kit in our apartment's basement and my wife rescued it. You may have energized me to go buy a can of malt. But, do you have to keep your carboy in the shoe closet? You should keep it in a place of honor (but a cool and dark place of honor).
Well, I live in NYC, so space is sort of at a premium. This is a Belgian Dubbel, so I don't really have to keep it cool. My next batch--probably a wheat something--will likely live out in the gallery, where everything is about 10 degrees cooler than it lives in here.
Also, McCullough, if you piss is really that dark, you should probably talk to your local doctor.

Well, at least you're working in an obviously sterile environment. What are you gonna call this batch...Hamperweizen?

Do the 70's era zipper boots add flavor or funk?

They give it a little kick.

Ah, a single-serving container. Very nice for you, but what if you have company?

Yeah, but you don't have to sterilize the outside.

Homebrewing is one of those things I'm willing to try because I can leave it in the basement for weeks on end and forget about it.
I've had some herbs sitting in some filters clamped on a box fan (AB's drying method) for the last couple of days because I'm too lazy to go gather them up.
