Is this another city building game (http://www.montecristogames.com/Etats-unis/ImageInterface/MLintro.htm)that is not coming over seas? I have the demo waiting, but I will put it off so as not to get excited if I am going to have to import it. There are plenty of games actually in the US I can play instead.

Plus, Children of the Nile has gone gold and I need to set aside a block of time for it. I hope they pull it off. [fingers and toes crossed]

I was interested in the game until I played the demo. After that, I took it off my 'games to watch' list.

Did you end up getting Knights of Honor? I may opt for it instead.

I haven't played the demo for this game, but Knights of Honor is really good.

Pretty pricey, even with free shipping, as 30 pounds is close to $60. I'd suggest GoGamer.com, where it's available for $30.

Not yet, I'm pretty deluged in games right now. However, I got a favorable impression from the demo so I'll get back to it eventually. How about Medieval Conquest? Are you going to get it?

Well, I have been through the demo about three times against Tom's wishes. I can see where it could, let me repeat, could be fun, but I should have trusted Tom.

The heroes make their decisions to upgrade their equip. when you make it available, much like Majesty. You send a grouping of characters to an area to scout out and attack, sorta like Majesty. However, if they go up a level and decide they need better equipment they will leave in the middle of a fight. It could happen that your fighters and archers advance and desert your wizards while fighting some horde. Also, they do not make any attempt to form ranks, that I can tell. All three classes (yes, there are only three) just jump into a fight and never try to maneuver if being attacked.

ALso, I cannot tell that you can plot a path and waypoints for your parties to explore. SO if you send a group to a spot, they will sit there until you go get them. Majesty's "Reward" system to convince folks to go to areas or fight monster's that you could then increase to persuade more characters to go to was brilliant.

As I already mentioned, the A.I. for the individual characters is not so hot. Again, in Majesty, those guys would fight relatively intelligently and re-stock when they were close to town and finished with what they were doing or when they were battered. These guys just seem to run around on very transparent pre-ordained behavioral patterns. Cyberlore had rules set up for when the individual classes, but they were more complex or better disguised. They moved and did things logically it seemed.

To sum up, I might grab it for $9.99, but all the demo has done is make me want to whip out Majesty and it's expansion again. It was done so much better, so long ago. There were plenty of mechanics from that title that could have made Medieval Conquest Majesty II with parties, albeit parties with only three character classes.

Majesty, Majesty, where fore art thou, Majesty.

Medieval Lords? That name is already taken by SSI (http://www.the-underdogs.org/game.php?name=Medieval+Lords). The new one could never reach the pure genius of the original ML.
