If it wasn't for the explanation about the Shift+N thing, I'd have just assumed he was your typical mainstream gaming forum random capitalization and punctuation person.

How in the hell did you happen across this? He sounds so helpless and sad :)

I'm a huge fan of Quintessential Player (http://www.quinnware.com/), the excellent freeware media player, so I visit their forums regularly, which is when and where I hit upon this thread. That's one helluva wonky problem.

Glad I asked -- just downloaded it, looks like a slick little app. Neat!

You'll be glad you downloaded it. Completely free, internal skin browser (Try Phaseless 2), and wonderful sound quality. Totally kicks winamp in the ass, IMO.

Sesame Street:

In a cold and far-off place
There was a lower-case N.
Lonely and cold, she would stare off into space
And it was known that she would cry now and then.

Lower-case N, standing on a hill.
The wind is very still, for the lower-case eh-en...

And then one day a rocketship
Came racing from the sky.
It landed on the hill and there opened up a door
And somethin' started comin' outside...

A lower-case N!
(She's not lonely anymo-o-re)
They are standing on the hill
(There are two that stand for su-u-ure)
The wind is very still
For the lower-case eh-ens!

Dammit -- is there a sound clip of this anywhere?

Does it kick the llama's ass?
Who would want to do something as cruel as that?

You've obviously never met a llama.

Of course I have, at numerous petting zoo's. Love 'em.

(Referring, of course, to the old sound bite when you first opened Winamp. Ah, the good old non-bloat days!)

Oh.. sorry. When I made my post, I assumed you knew what the reference was to. I didn't realize you were honestly asking a question.
