I had to go back three pages to find the last Painkiller threads, and they were tips/tricks and spoilers, so I'm starting a new one.
I've only got like 8 black tarot cards because I'm horrible at secrets and getting to high places but I love shooting things en masse. I'm on the last level in insomnia mode where I finally got stuck and needed to see a walkthrough on Lucifer (I went into demon mode a number of times with no apparent progress).
I love the menuing system with the rotating Satan star thing and the ruby and the tarot cards that you "play" into some kind of little field. The last level in this game is probably one of the top ten shooter levels ever in terms of artistic style. And the sound and music are great: chanting; whispering; demon roars; fanatic screams...
This truly is a near-perfect shooter.
I <3 Painkiller. And Syberia. I will probably <3 Cold War and Missing, both of which looked great at E3. I <3 Dreamcatcher (as Gladguy found out when I nearly accosted him at the QT3 gathering). They are my new Looking Glass Studios.
