Anyone from there read the boards?

You have to mention the name of someone famous to get them to appear. Specificity is important!
Oh, glorious Brian Reynolds, come to us in our hour of need. Namely: why the hell is it that in SMAC there's only two society models that effect your green rating for like 85% of the gameplay time, and they're in the same value area, so you can't do any competing tradeoffs between values?

Jason, I don't think Brian answers Firaxis-related mail anymore. He gets really excited when showing off the Nuke in Rise of Nations though. Really excited.
Given all the Usenet hoo-ha about Reynolds being Mr. Greenie, I found that interesting.

Heh heh. I actually took one of those online "tests" that's supposed to tell you where you fall in the political spectrum, and I was all excited to find out where I stood and then it came back with (0, 0) or something spectacularly boring like that.
At least nobody was saying I was "pro-Hivemind" or anything. I guess even being "pro-UN" is considered to be taking a stand these days.
Cool weapons, cool consequences when you use them, that's my motto...I think.
What's SMAC, anyway? Just kidding. I don't actually remember the reasoning behind the effect you describe, so I may just be a dork, but I already knew that anyway. I don't have any involvement in any future development for that game...I don't think my picture's even on the new boxes. So I guess I'll just have to promise to have nothing but the best and most mind-bending tactical tradeoffs in Rise of Nations!
Great invocation-of-a-developer's-name, by the way. I'll now disappear in a puff of smoke... >Pouf!<

>Pouf!<
Hold your noses fellows. That's French smoke.
Sorry to hear about your pic being removed Brian, though I suppose I can see why if it's one of those small boxes. It still says "... a Brian Reynolds Design" though, doesn't it?
Oh yeah, he's gone.
Reynolds! Reynolds! Reynolds!

What a hoot. I can't say I asked for any other reason than to pimp myself out for the Community Relations Manager job there. Pictures of me in a fedora with leopard print brim band available upon request (feather optional).

Any time I need Brian Reynolds to appear for an interview, I simply chant: "Brian Reynolds, you're my hero!"
