The military has banned the media from Dover Air Base, where all military dead arrive before being sent to their home towns. It's been somewhat controversial, because there are those who believe that the public needs to see those images to understand the price being paid.
So the Seattle Times got around that by going to Kuwait International Airport, where the coffins begin their long journey home. The photo is by one of the civilian contractors. It's a sobering photo. That's a lot of coffins in that one plane.
