Qt3 Movie Podcast: Life of Pi

Not since Lincoln has the Qt3 Movie Podcast been so divided on a movie! If you want to avoid Life of Pi spoilers, fast forward to the 59-minute mark for this week’s 3×3 of our favorite movie epiphanies.

Next week: Killing Them Softly

  • RedHerb

Oh! Killing Them softly! Can’t wait for that one, I saw it a couple of months ago (Ha ha! *High fives Australia for once).

Hmm to listen or not to listen. Your divisiveness is making this tough. I do like Ang Lee, but a tiger on a boat…Is the tiger CG Andy Serkis?

Can you guys please watch some bad movies so I can listed to the podcast without having to see the movie first? TIA.

  • tomchick

According to at least one person of each of the last two podcasts, we have been watching bad movies! :)

  • tomchick

    Richard Parker is not amused.

  • Nightgaunt

I demand a correction! Devil’s Tower is in Wyoming! Crater Lake is in Oregon!

  • KellyWand

I muttered something to that effect in the background. That’s the 2012 equivalent of a printed retraction. But with more 12′s. :(

I was tempted to go with The Usual Suspects for my 3×3 but I figured I would be scooped for certain if I used it. I should have thought of the Glengarry Glen Ross one but its obvious in retrospect…

Wait? My email with my picks never got to you guys?! Arrgh!

3.Iron Man: Tony Stark, while in captivity in the cave, finally gets
that his career and his whole corporation’s business is monstrous, and
deciding that he and his company are done with making weapons. This is
an epiphany which has consequences not only in this film, but the
    sequel as well.

    2. Bridge on the River Kwai. Alec Guiness finally understands the
gravity of working and helping his Japanese captors when the bridge he
took such pride in helping build gets blown up at the end of the
movie. “My God, what have I done?”

    1. Planet of the Apes. I expect to be scooped on this one, but how
can I resist Charlton Heston’s arrival at the half-buried Statue of
Liberty and finally realizing where he has really gone, and what has
happened to the world he knew. “You Manics!”

Aw, sorry we missed out fifth Beatle this week. :(

Love the #2, Paul. That’s inspired.
