    I’m surprised no one brought up ‘Marcy May’ in Martha Marcy May Marlene. I’d understand it not being ‘technically’ a nickname sense John Hawkes essentially renames her, but I think it could be argued as one and am kind of surprised it wasn’t brought up

    Unless it was in the runners up during the one minute I couldn’t hear thanks to my dog.

    I really wanted to participate this week but I had a really hard time thinking up any nicknames, for some reason. But since the only one I did think of wasn’t mentioned, I’ll go ahead and throw it out: Kevin Costner’s titular nickname in Tin Cup, and the story behind it.

    I’m pleased Zelazny is a favored author of Kelly. My favorite (although I prefer Amber) Lord of Light is very very good.

    Yeah, the guy was a brilliant stylist. A lot of his short stories are the best ever. I want to make Tom read Damnation Alley. Best protagonist name ever: Hell Tanner. Suck it, Bart Fargo.
