Qt3 Games Podcast: Torchlands II and Borderlight 2

It’s weeks like this that make us pine for the good old days when companies would make convenient six-hour games with multiplayer on the side that no one is going to play anyway.

Your title for the Dredd 3d podcast should be: “Dredd 3d has been judged …. to be awful!” If you do, in fact, find if awful. Thoughts I had while watching the Dredd 3d trailer: “Is he going to keep his helmet on the whole film… He sounds like he’s doing a Stallone impersonation, I thought’d they’d want to distance themselves from the first film adaptation… He’s got a chick partner again, she must be the Robin character of the comics… So it’s like a sci-fi version of The Raid… Wait, didn’t the last movie begin with thugs holed up in an apartment complex…Are they just expanding the first film’s action scene into the entire movie?”

McMaster, that was a good try to get Tom to take his turn in Le Havre.

Well, as near as I can tell, the turn notification in Le Havre is still busted. After weeks of checking to see that someone other than me hadn’t taken his turn, I just figured folks gave up on it. Specifically the folks who publicly announced they’d given up on it. :)

I want to stop but I can’t! They released an update recently. I wonder if it helps with the notifications.

Hi Tom. I can’t speak for everyone, but my money sink in Borderlands 2 is definitely the slot machines at Moxie’s in Sanctuary. I have found them to be both entertaining and extremely rewarding. YMMV.

Dude, there is no way I’m throwing my hard scrounged money into a virtual slot machine.

Okay, maybe just a few spins.

I’m a real Rune-hoarder too, but keep in mind that you can use transmutation stones to merge two sets of armor, so you can take one suit with a look and stats you like, merge it with a piece that you don’t like as much but that has a “Superior Noble Rune” or something, and just merge the rune over to the good one.

You can also use the highest tier salvage kits to destroy a piece of gear that has the rune you like on it, and it’ll return the rune (and other stuff) so you can put it on something else. There’s a change of this with lesser salvage kits, but it’s not worth the risk. I got a stack of 25 “gem store” salvage kits out of either a map completion or a Black Lion Chest at some poitn and I’ve been using them very sparingly.
