Qt3 Movie Podcast: Tree of Life

So we saw Tree of Life this week instead of a movie about Ryan Reynolds getting a magic green ring. After one hour and 28 minutes, we finally get around to this week’s 3×3 of under-appreciated creature designs.

When I was 9 yeras old Mom dragged all us kids to see Last House On The Left. Mom gets out soon.

I’m guessing I should wait until the movie comes to my hometown before listening to this podcast? If I do wait I’d have the added benefit of being able to see the movie before listening to the podcast… hmmm. Those are two good reasons I guess.

I definitely think you should wait, Blondie.

I said something about requiring an interview session before recommending this film, but given that you’ve shown interest in Meek’s Cutoff, I think I can safely forego that in this case.

Wait and see it. Then dig up the thread and join in the discussion.

This is the reason I listen to this podcast. With such a lameo trailer, I would never see a movie like this one. I have no idea who the director is. But after listening to you movie dorks babble on, I am totally going to check it out.

Tim, you just gave us a new name for the podcast: Movie Dork Babylon.

    Well done, sir!

In all seriousness, it’s good to hear about a movie I probably wouldn’t have checked out without a thumbs up from someone. I love stories about fathers and fatherhood, but never would have got that from this trailer. This makes up for all the verbal trashing of my beloved Scott Pilgrim.

Also, Tom, I saw The Sting when I was little too, but I just loved it. For many years I swiped my finger across my nose just like Robert Redford. I was communicating absolutely nothing to no one, but I was doing it with great conviction.
